Beer label project

So the beer label post idea is after famous alcoholics...sort of a random undertaking for me, but certainly an enjoyable one thus far.

I was inspired by my idol-Winston Churchill, who after stumbling out of a pub in the wee hours of the morning was approached by a woman who told him ; "Winston, your drunk!"

Winston's witty response; "I may be drunk madam, but in the morning I will be sober and you will still be ugly."

I wanted to design more labels after other alcoholics and after some research found Edgar Allen Poe and Ernest Hemingway to be great candidates.

This project is by no means celebrating alcohol or degrading Poe, Hemingway or Sir Churchill. If anything it is celebrating them. I love the fact that despite the horrible name alcohol is given in our times, these men accomplished so much in their lives (hence the title "shine").

The animals represent each figure...I will use a bull for Hemingway, a lion for Sir Churchill and a raven for Poe. Their faces will be on the neck of the bottle.
