Terminator: Salvation

terminator: Salvation was a overall a good movie. The breakout star had to be Sam Worthington, though.  His acting was superb and he held his own next to Christian Bale.  What I loved most about his acting is how he portrayed emotions carefully through his eyes and facial expressions rather than his lines. Overall it was a 9.

Never go to art school. Never go to New York. Never rent a loft. Dump your font folder. Forget symmetry and color-coordination. Stop taking text from editorial that you don't read and packaging it in eye-catching ways. Walk away from your computer. Then take off. Go to India, rural China, Rio, Carcas, Belize. Mingle with the filthy rich and the dirt poor. Dig up all the roots of terror. Make hunger, disease and cruelty, lust, greed, self-preservation and genocide your roommates. Then, when you've run out of money and you can't take it anymore, fly back home. Look in the mirror. Fcae your fears, your weaknesses, strengths, your immenent demise. Then, when all of this begins to gel into a master narrative in front of your eyes, go get a job.

final alias model of studio project; bicycle helmet

The helmet is for bicycle commuters and it was my studio project this semester.  I had a lot of fun and learned a whole lot about design during it.  I also learned a whole lot about alias as well.

So finally the year is over. Next year I will be a junior, but I still have projects I plan to work on over the summer, sketchbooks to fill and classes to take.  Overall I did pretty well this semester, as my grades show, but more importantly I improved.  I'm working n my portfolio, which I will post soon, and applying to internships.
I look back on the year and am not only thankful for the improvements I made, but also for the people who helped me get through the year, Like Rebecca and Arlene from the success center or Denise Dooley or Dave Chow and everybody else I forgot to mention. Thanks again to all. My portfolio is coming soon.

I apologize for  the absence of posts.....I will have more soon and will be updating frequently.

The Winter semester has ended here at CCS and the summer semester will begin.  I have completed plenty of work and will be adding it all soon.  Over the summer I will be taking Alias and an art history course along with sitting in on a bookmaking class.  More to come
